Filsinger Games is proud to announce that just two weeks before he accepts the 2026 Tragos/Thesz Hall of Fame Gordon Solie Award, “Killer” Ken Resnick is the special guest for GalactiCon 37!
Resnick, who will also be a part of the Tragos/Thesz Hall of Fame Set VII, spent more than five years working as an interviewer in the 1980s in two of the largest wrestling promotions during that era. Prior to getting into the wrestling business, Resnick served as a sports reporter for a television station in Rochester, Minnesota. It was while working at a celebrity golf tournament for the television station that he had the opportunity to interview fellow legend, Verne Gagne. Gagne hired him soon thereafter to conduct interviews with wrestlers performing in his prominent Midwest territory. While there Resnick crossed paths with many legends in the sport including Crusher, Curt Hennig, Nick Bockwinkel and Bobby Heenan.
After serving as an interviewer for parts of four years (1983-1986), Resnick transitioned to an interviewer role in the largest wrestling promotion in the world, located in the Northeastern United States. While there he shared time with talents like Roddy Piper, “Macho Man” Randy Savage, George “The Animal” Steele, Superfly Jimmy Snuka, King Kong Bundy, “Cowboy” Bob Orton, “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff, and Big John Studd.
After leaving the rings of the northeast promotion, Resnick moved onto announcing roles with several wrestling promotions, including an all-women’s promotion. Resnick also announced televised roller jams that aired on a national television network and announced for a touring live sports competition between ordinary competitors and star athletes for prizes!
Resnick will be on hand to share his stories from his career in professional wrestling tomorrow, Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 4:30 PM EST at GalactiCon 37. His Q&A will be available to all GalactiCon 37, including both in person locations and virtually. Virtual tickets to GalactiCon can be purchased HERE. Those who attend GalactiCon, whether in person or virtually, will receive four game cards! Tickets to all three GalactiCon options can be purchased HERE!
