GOOD TIMES AT THE CAC REUNION!
Tom attended the annual CAC Reunion this year as part of our magical 40th anniversary. Some of our biggest supporters were there to share the fun. Here are some of the highlights:
It starts at the top with CAC President Brian Blair. Brian has been a great supporter of Filsinger Games. Brian has publicly stated that he loves our Legends of Wrestling Card Game. He is doing a great job as the leader of CAC. Tom was proudly sporting his Filsinger Games 40th Anniversary T-shirt.
Legendary wrestling journalist Bill Apter also visited with Tom and thanked him once again for producing a game card for him. Bill is eternally young and full of enthusiasm for his many continuing projects and shared several of his wrestler voice imitations for Tom.
Tom enjoyed a special dinner at Oscar’s Steakhouse at the Plaza Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas with the wife of Bruiser Brodie, Barbara Goodish, and Brodie’s sister, Gayle. Tom and Barbara first met at a CAC Reunion in 2015, which resulted in the Bruiser Brodie game card and a long-term friendship.
Cowboy Bob Orton enjoyed playing a CAC favorite game, cribbage. His daughter talked with Tom about the Orton family and even went home and dug out our Legends of Wrestling box set and brought it the next day. The Orton’s proudly displayed it at their table. Thank you for the support!
Jim Cain, a good friend of Brian Blair, was featured in a CAC game edition last year and he is a great guy. Speaking of great guys, there is also Mitch Obeid, who works closely with the CAC. Watch for more news about Mitch in the days ahead!
Ring announcer Gary Michael Cappetta was also on hand with his friend Toby. Both men were guests at GalactiCon in Jamestown many years ago. They loved the beauty of the Sheldon House for the GalactiCon event, which is no surprise to game fans that attended those classic conventions.
Tony Atlas attended this event, and he was selling autographed photos of—you guessed it—the card art he drew for his Tony Atlas game card! We agree that it’s great! What a talented guy. If you own the Tony Atlas game card you have the colorized version. This one is his original black and white version.
Oh yes, and there was also indie wrestling on Sunday evening. A good time was had by all!
