Coming this December is the new beginning of the Legends of Wrestling game series, when the 16-card color Starter Set is released. This landmark set will feature wrestlers from multiple decades that helped shaped the sport of professional wrestling. However, the decade that really brought pro wrestling into the main stream is the 1980’s.
This game edition will have multiple superstars that resonate with
all fans, but perhaps the most notorious of them are the Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff. The former World Tag Team Champions represented two of the most hated countries for Americans in the 1980’s, Iran and the Soviet Union, and the Sheik and Volkoff made sure the fans knew their distaste for America as well. Who will promoters look to book this dastardly duo against? And will they be forced to listen to the Soviet national anthem first?
This new Legends of Wrestling Color Starter Set will be available with all of the 2016 holiday releases, including 2 limited edition numbered cards and releases from Ring of Honor and Champions of the Galaxy.
