The Welch/Fuller family will be honored at the 2026 Tragos/Thesz Hall of Fame with the Lou Thesz Award. It’s only fitting that two members of the famous family will be featured in the Legends of Wrestling Tragos/Thesz Hall of Fame VII game edition! Ron Fuller and Roy Lee Welch will be joining your roster, promoter!
“The Tennessee Stud” Ron Fuller, a third generation member of the Welch/Fuller family, entered the pro wrestling industry in his family’s Tennessee promotion. Fuller later competed throughout the southeastern United States, winning state and regional titles across Georgia, Florida, Alabama, and Tennessee. His feud with Bob Armstrong was legendary, so it was shocking when the two enemies teamed to battle Kevin Sullivan and his army!
Roy Lee Welch also spent his career in the southeastern part of the country. Welch teamed with his cousin Ron Fuller, Bob Roop and Bob Orton, Jr., early in his career. He battled opponents like Adrian Street and Randy Rose, and also feuded with Tom Prichard over a version of the junior heavyweight championship.
