Indies promoters are going to be getting a dose of Southern hospitality this summer as multi-time champion, Alex Taylor brings his cunning ring savvy to the Filsinger Games Independent Wrestling game as the next name announced for the Best of the Indies 2025: Tag Teams.
Taylor, an 11-year veteran of the mat game, is a junior heavyweight that is not afraid to bend the rules to win matches to help him reach the top of wrestling cards. The cocky, braggadocious heel, has made a career out of exceeding expectations and proving those who doubt him wrong. He uses an all-around balanced style of wrestling that combines aerial maneuvers and technical skills to take down the competition.
Taylor began his career in 2014, after he completed his training under several wrestlers, including Tyler Black. The Texas-native currently wrestles in a national Indies promotion and is a member of The Southern 6, with fellow Indies stars “Thrillbilly” Silas Mason and Kerry Morton. Taylor and Morton form a current championship-holding tag team in that Indies promotion. Additionally, Taylor has experienced success in the junior heavyweight singles division of that same Indies promotion, as of May 2025, he was their current junior heavyweight title holder in the midst of a more than 325-day title reign. The summer Indies release will be joined by other Filsinger Games summer releases including Champions of The Galaxy: Myth Worlds 2 and Legends of Wrestling George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame Set 6. Preorders will debut in a special release to in person GalactiCon 36 attendees, June 28-29, in Baltimore Maryland.
